Parmenides of Elea (born c. 520 BC) was a famous pre-socratic philosopher and founder of the Eleatic school. Parmenides got famous for proving the absolute truth. He carries the title 'Grand-father of Western philosophy'. His influence can not be over-estimated, nevertheless he is widely unknow.
